Substance Abuse Prevention
Youth Services Alliance is the fiscal agent for the Cass County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition. This Coalition meets quarterly at various locations in Cass County. The coalition includes people from the 12 sectors of the community including, youth, parents, businesses, media, schools, youth-serving organizations, law enforcement, religious/fraternal organizations, other civic/volunteer groups, healthcare, state, local, or tribal government agencies, and other organizations that work at reducing substance abuse. Lets work together to prevent drug use!
Cass County’s Local Coordinating Council. Meets the 2nd Monday of each month to combat the local drug issues in our community. People from prevention, law enforcement, treatment, and volunteers are invited to attend these monthly meetings.
Indiana Coalition Network is a collaboration among Local Coordinating Councils (LCC) throughout the state of Indiana, to work together toward a common goal of building a safe, healthy, drug free communities.
SPF Indiana is a website that explains Indiana’s prevention work using the latest public health research and data to make informed decisions utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) process. Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) is working toward expanding the use of SPF to communities and coalitions across the State, funded through Substance Abuse Block Grant funds and supported by the IPRC’s staff.
